Vanilla Visa Gift Card

Alrighty, a gripe here.

But first, let me say "thank you" to my fabulous coworkers who gave me this as a b-day gift last year.

Okay, now the gripe. This Vanilla Visa gift card kind of expires after a while. There's a $2.50 monthly charge on the card. (Wack!--yes, I said, WACK!) So, if I buy this for someone, thinking, "Oh great, they can use it wherever they want," I have to remember to tell them to use it right away, or the funds will be depleted. It's like a monthly fee on a checking account. Yuck!

So, I used the card a few times. Then, at some point I tried and it just stopped working, even though I knew I still had money left over. Finally, I looked online to check the balance, and found out that I'd been getting docked every month! That bites. Totally.

So, "sorry," dear coworkers, that I was savoring the novelty of such a gift (like nibbling on a cookie at snack time) instead of just gobbling it all right away.

Ewww, that bites! Lucky for me, I never quite worked up enough self control to savor ANYTHING that can be traded for jeans, shoes art supplies or Chinese food.

LOL!

I don't know how I ever held out, especially since I've run up quite the credit card bill on art supplies!
